The New York Insight Park Slope Brooklyn Sangha is offering a Daylong Retreat from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday, July 13th at the Brooklyn Zen Center. The Zen Center is located at 505 Carroll Street, Suite 2A (between 3rd and 4th Avenues).
Plan to offer yourself the gift of deepening your practice in the company of like-minded "spiritual friends," known and unknown.
The registration fee is $25, with the opportunity to offer dana to our teachers, Sebene Selassie and Gary Singer.
Stephanie Golden is our retreat manager. Please email her at firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know that you plan to join us. Having an estimate of the number of persons attending will help with the arrangements. The registration fee can be paid on the day of the event. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Gary Singer is a teacher of New York Insight and a graduate of the Community Dharma Leader’s teaching program. He’s been practicing vipassanna meditation since 1992 and integrates mindfulness into his psychotherapy practice. As a founder of NYI’s Family Sangha program, he writes and gives workshops on mindfulness, stress reduction, work/life balance, and intercultural/interracial relationships.
Sebene Selassie is a meditation teacher and certified Integral Coach®. She has been studying Buddhism since majoring in Comparative Religious Studies as an undergrad at McGill University. For over 20 years she worked with children, youth, and families nationally and internationally for small and large not–for–profits. Her work has taken her everywhere from the Tenderloin in San Francisco to refugee camps in Guinea, West Africa. She aspires for her practice and teaching to be authentic, relational, pragmatic, and joyful.
