The practice of Mindfulness and Loving-kindness from the Buddhist tradition deepens our insight into truth about ourselves and the conditions in which we live, while cultivating an open heart and an inner home. In creating the peace and openness within our own hearts and minds, we can fully be engaged with creating the peace and kindness that the world so urgently needs. The retreat offers a unique opportunity for Queer and Same-Gender-Loving identified folks to be together in spiritual community. Strengthen our capacity to be Free, and Celebrate our Freedom Together on Gay Pride weekend and the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.

Invitations into meditation will focus on cultivating an open awareness spacious enough to hold all that arises moment to moment, including guidance in sitting and walking meditations in the Vipassana Buddhist tradition. There will be a dharma talk and opportunities for group sharing. Open to all levels of meditation: new, beginner, or experienced.

*Event fee includes teacher support.
