“Observe the wonders as they occur around you.  Don’t claim them. Feel the artistry moving through and be silent.”  Rumi

In this daylong retreat through meditation practice, experiential creative processes, short talks and group sharing we will we will explore the relationship between meditation and creativity.

By letting go into the present moment and doing so without judgment or attachment we can more freely open to and express that which calls to us in the creative realm.

In the space of stillness and silence beyond words creativity can have room to move through us.

In meditation we make space for the full range of experience (joys and sorrows) while knowing that it is always changing and unfolding anew.  We may then choose to share our inner journey by expressing our creativity in ways that lead to healing, connection, beauty, and inspiration for ourselves and others.

Making space for, relaxing and listening deeply, and receiving whatever arises in the flow of our own experience, are important aspects of mediation as well as of the creative process.

The two teachers for this day are both involved in the creative arts and “use” meditation to inform their creative process.  We’re looking forward to sharing this day with you!

Teacher support: Suggested starting donation is $30 but whatever you offer is greatly appreciated and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
