The word emptiness can imply bleakness or hollowness, a nihilistic view of life where nothing has a meaning. Yet it is seen very differently in the Buddhist context, where the other face of emptiness is a vast sense of interconnection, where no one and nothing stands apart. This is the birthplace of boundless compassion. Friday night we will explore emptiness in the context of impermanence and dukha (suffering, or uneasiness) in life. Saturday we will examine and practice the lovingkindness and compassion that are illuminated through seeing emptiness.

There will not be beginning meditation instruction offered, so Sharon requests that people consider this before registering.

Registration fee includes teacher support/dana.

All scholarships have been awarded for this event.
