This community meets on Sunday evenings to meditate, discuss Buddhist teachings, and provide mutual support in applying these practices to the specific challenges of early adulthood. The gathering is participatory and casual. Possible discussion topics include career, relationships, money, and dealing with difficulties.

There is no required level of experience or familiarity with meditation or Buddhism. Meditation instruction is given.

Fee by donation: Suggested starting donation is $10 but whatever you offer is greatly appreciated and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. For this event, all donations go to support NYI.
Chance Krempasky is a cyclist, house plant enthusiast, and meditator. He works as a family nurse practitioner specializing in queer and transgender medicine, harm reduction, and care for people living with HIV. He is a practice leader at New York Insight Meditation Center where he helped to start the Insight Out Refuge LGBTIQ sangha, and is a co-author of Developing Trans*Competence: A Short Guide to Improving Transgender Experiences at Meditation and Retreat Centers.
