Generation Meditation: Young Adults

This community meets on Sunday evenings to meditate, discuss Buddhist teachings, and provide mutual support in applying these practices to the specific challenges of early adulthood. The gathering is participatory and casual. Possible discussion topics include career, relationships, money, and dealing with difficulties.

We aspire to build a community that is authentic, relational, pragmatic & joyful. All are warmly welcome.

There is no required level of experience or familiarity with meditation or Buddhism. Meditation instruction is given.

Fee by donation: Suggested starting donation is $10 but whatever you offer is greatly appreciated and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. For this event, all donations go to support NYI.

Rafi SantoRafi Santo has been practicing the dharma for over 15 years, co-founded the New York Insight Young Adults Sangha, now known as Generation Meditation, and has been a practice leader at NYI for 10 years. In sharing the dharma, Rafi is interested in ensuring that mindfulness practices stay rooted in the aspiration for true liberation and in exploring their relationship to social transformation and equity.
