We are all the heroes and anti-heroes of our own stories. We weave narratives based on our reactions to the conditions we find ourselves in, and the roles we create can become our fate.

Yet it is possible to relate to our experience in a new way. “Virya,” the ancient Sanskrit word for the heroic, is the term the Buddha used for the energy and effort of mindfulness. We can be heroes by being mindful.

Join us for a “Happy Hour” session of meditation and written contemplation. Suitable for beginners and fully enlightened beings and everyone in between. Together we will create a safe and peaceful space. No one need read aloud.

The course will combined meditation and writing exercises. Bring a journal, a pen, and a spirit of adventure.
