A silent meditation retreat  is  a period of extended inward reflection\, a space to achieve greater clarity of mind. \nRetreats are a major part of the practice of insight meditation. This two-day silent meditation retreat allows for a rich experience of sangha that occurs when you meditate with fellow yogis for an extended period of time. Being mindful whether you are standing\, sitting\, walking\, eating\, riding the subway or listening to the teachings can deepen concentration and create the conditions that cause continuity of mindfulness to arise. It is a rich opportunity to “train the mind.” \n“Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts.” –The Buddha \nWe suggested that you bring your lunch each day to maintain the meditative atmosphere and concentration. Individual teacher interviews will be offered. \nSo come and deepen your practice\, whether you are an experienced retreatant or this is your first retreat.
