Ehipassiko — Come and See for Yourself

Metta: Exploring the Practices of the Heart, Daylong 1
Lani Miller, Nancy Glimm

July 9, 2016
10:00 am - 05:00 pm

Online registration is now closed.
Walk-in registration is available via cash or check.

Metta is the beautiful practice of sending thoughts of loving kindness to ourselves and progressively outward to all beings. Metta is often taught as a structured practice with thoughts of loving kindness unfolding ever outward. This two day (July 9September 11) retreat will allow us to practice Metta together in all moments of life, not only formal meditation practice.

In the first retreat we will explore Metta practice sitting in silence, walking and sharing together in relationship. We will experience how to practice with Metta in daily life.  We can make Metta fully portable and develop our own practices, bringing Metta into all situations. Most importantly how can we remember to practice when we need Metta most, when our hearts are closed? We can learn how not to abandon ourselves when things are most difficult through the practice of Metta.

The second retreat on September 11 will review and continue to explore ways we can bring Metta into our lives.

*Registration fee does not include teacher support.

Teacher support: Suggested starting donation is $30 but whatever you offer is greatly appreciated. All donations go to support the teacher(s).
