May 23, 2014
07:00 pm - 09:00 pm
How can we bring the values, insights and compassion of our meditation practice more fully into our daily lives, our actions and relationships? Integrating the contemporary discipline of Nonviolent Communication with the Buddha’s teachings on Right Speech offers a powerful vehicle for developing along the spiritual path.
This introductory evening program will include a period of silent meditation, some reflections on using communication as spiritual practice, and guidance in one or two interactive exercises exploring how to make our speaking and listening part of the path of awakening.
Fee by donation: Suggested starting donation is $15 but whatever you offer is greatly appreciated and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. For this event all donations are split evenly between the teacher(s) and NYI. Learn more about this practice of generosity here.
