George Pitagorsky blends Buddhism, systems thinking and non-dual philosophy. He has practiced yoga and Insight Meditation since the early 1970’s. He is a multi-disciplinary business consultant, coach, and is currently a Managing Director in the NYC Dept. of Education’s Office of School Support Services. George is author of The Zen Approach to Project Management and Managing Conflict in Projects and editor of the Breakthrough Newsletter. George seeks to help people to integrate meditation and wisdom thinking into their daily lives. He has served on the NYI Board of Directors.
Gina Sharpe was born in Jamaica and immigrated to New York at the age of 11. After retiring from the practice of law, she co-founded New York Insight Meditation Center where she serves as Guiding Teacher. She has taught at Retreat Centers and other venues around the United States including a maximum security prison for women. She has been teaching the Dharma since 1995 and is particularly inspired by the potential and application of Dharma to transform and illuminate interpersonal and multicultural relations.
Lani Miller has been practicing Insight Meditation since 1977. She is a graduate of the third Community Dharma Leaders Program. Lani is also a Singer/ Songwriter who is interested in how music and other creative arts can be a vehicle for sharing spiritual truths and values.
