Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us, or we find it not.  --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Exploring the Dharma (the path of and to the Truth of how things are) offers us the opportunity to find happiness.  We can let go of our burdens and  awaken from the habits and conditioning which limit us.  Through our practice we can discover that our happiness arises not from controlling and attempting to manipulate our experience, but rather  from how we relate and respond to what is happening - from learning to "allow" and "let go."

Every moment offers us an opportunity to, as Thich Nat Hanh expressed so wisely, "see what's right."  From the beauty of a flower to appreciation for our very life we can cultivate appreciation and open to gratitude.

In this day long retreat we will explore how attitudes of appreciation and gratitude can nourish us, bring us joy, and strength even through challenging times. The day will include sitting and walking  practice, as well as short talks, with plenty of time for group sharing.

Registration fee does not include teacher support.

Teacher support: Suggested starting donation is $30 but whatever you offer is greatly appreciated and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. All donations go to support the teacher(s).

All scholarships have been awarded for this event.
