How do we stay connected to our deepest needs when others do or say things that we may consider hurtful, painful or out of alignment with our values?

Right Speech, part of the Buddha's eight-Fold path, calls on us to choose our words with mindfulness and discernment, communicating with loving kindness and compassion. In this daylong workshop on Right Speech using Nonviolent Communication (NVC), we will take first steps in learning how to connect to ourselves and others with compassion, enhance the quality of our relationships, explore the healing power of empathy and become more aware of our inner resources for meeting our own needs. The combination of the Buddha's teachings and NVC skills offer a powerful way of seeing how differences can be resolved. The workshop format will include short dharma talks, meditation, stories, role play and experiential exercises.

Teacher support: Suggested starting donation is $40 but whatever you offer is greatly appreciated and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. All donations go to support the teacher(s).
