It allows us to approach each moment exactly as it is\, free from agendas and shoulds. In Narayan’s new book\, The Magnanimous Heart\, she shows us how to turn the sting and anguish of loss into a direct experience of enoughness—the deep joy\, peace\, and happiness within our own hearts that exists beyond mere circumstances. \nFriday evening\, Narayan will offer a short sitting\, a talk on a passage from her book\, and a Q&A followed by a book signing. \nSaturday will consist of sitting and walking meditation\, short talks and discussions on themes from the book—essentially\, how to live from a compassionate love that guides our lives and warms whatever it shines upon. With metta and compassion as companions and allies\, we discover how our own magnanimous hearts can gently allow the inner knots to untie themselves. \nYou may register for one or both of these sessions. There will be opportunity to buy Narayan’s book at each session. \n \nThe registration fee includes teacher support. If you wish to give more in addition to the registration fee\, the total (registration fees and additional contributions) will be shared between NYI and the teacher(s). \nNote About Registration:\nIf you have questions about your registration (cancellation policy\, membership discount\, email confirmation\, etc.)\, please read our FAQs. If your question is not addressed in the FAQs\, please email registration@nyimc.org. \nNew York Insight Meditation Center is offering a new structure for registration.
