This event will be a scholarship fundraiser for young people to attend residential retreats. It is being offered on a sliding scale so as many people can participate as possible. The sustaining rate enables NYI to support those who need assistance for this event, retreat scholarships and to support additional programming at NYI.
In this unique daylong event, Shinzen Young will detail how anyone can develop a meditation practice geared towards classical enlightenment as well as the science that can potentially accelerate the process of awakening.
“It’s often said that the things experienced by advanced meditators cannot be put into words, but I disagree. And I’ve dedicated the past 40 years of my life to developing a precise and accessible language for describing what happens as a result of deep meditation practice. By working smarter and knowing how to spot nature’s windows of opportunity, more people will have the tools to benefit from meditation and more people will flourish in their existing practice. Can you imagine how that could change our world?
All participants will receive a copy of Shizen's Book The Science of Enlightenment.
*Registration Fee does not include teacher support.
Teacher support: Suggested starting donation for a daylong is $30, but whatever you offer is greatly appreciated and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds. All donations go to support the teacher(s).
