Fear, anger and depression are interrelated emotions that everyone experiences to some degree. Working with them means to mindfully acknowledge and accept their presence and moderate behavior so as to be responsive rather than reactive. To find the way towards better managing these emotions and minimizing their occurrence, we will explore 1) the nature and relationship among these emotions, 2) their causes and 3) how mindfulness meditation in the context of the marks of existence - impermanence, unsatisfactoriness and the absence of a solid self. The course will enable a dialogue among the participants and focus on how to bring knowledge and techniques into daily life in a practical, non theoretical, way.
Registration fee includes teacher support.

George Pitagorsky blends Buddhism, systems thinking and non-dual philosophy. He has practiced yoga and Insight Meditation since the early 1970’s. He is a multi-disciplinary business consultant, coach, and is currently a Managing Director in the NYC Dept. of Education’s Office of School Support Services. George is author of The Zen Approach to Project Management and Managing Conflict in Projects and editor of the Breakthrough Newsletter. George seeks to help people to integrate meditation and wisdom thinking into their daily lives. He has served on the NYI Board of Directors.
