SUMMARY:In-Person and Online: The Path of Most Resilience - Buddhist Perspectives on Facing Adversity
DESCRIPTION:In-Person and Online: The Path of Most Resilience – Buddhist Perspectives on Facing Adversity \nwith nico hase \nSaturday\, May 17th\, 2025 | 10:00am – 4:00pm ET \nIn-Person Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street\, 12th Floor \n \nAdversity is an inevitable part of life: from illness to loss to the moral injury that comes from witnessing injustice. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity. It keeps us engaged\, calm\, and energized as we continue to serve a world on fire. \nIn this daylong retreat with teacher nico hase\, we will explore teachings and practices that contribute to resilience. We will discuss how hyper-individualism contributes to fragility\, and why community is so important for overcoming our obstacles. \nWe’ll also unpack how meditation can help us balance our hearts and minds so that we can connect with others\, navigate the difficulties of shared spaces\, and ultimately find resilience in the engaged sangha that our world so desperately needs. \nJoin us for an engaging day of stories\, reflections\, and meditations about how Buddhist teachings and practices contribute to our resilience in the face of life’s challenges. \nIn-Person Registration:\nPlease register below. If you are able\, registering at the “Supporter” level enables others to attend at the “Subsidized” level. Thank you for your generosity! (Please note that the registration price includes a base level of teacher support\, and you will have the opportunity to donate more after the program.) \nIf you are registering via a mobile device such as a phone or tablet\, you can scroll right and left and up and down within the below form if it is partially obscured or cut off.\nCLICK HERE to open the registration form in a new browser window.\n \nOnline Registration:\nIf you are registering via a mobile device such as a phone or tablet\, you can scroll right and left and up and down within the below form if it is partially obscured or cut off.\nCLICK HERE to open the registration form in a new browser window. \n \nVolunteering \nAll of our programs rely on volunteers to support our teachers and staff with various tasks and responsibilities. Volunteering allows you to participate in our programs at no cost. To inquire about volunteering opportunities\, please fill out our inquiry form\, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
