SUMMARY:In-Person and Online: Being Human Takes Practice
DESCRIPTION:In-Person and Online: Being Human Takes Practice \nwith Jeff Warren \nThursday\, August 14th\, 2025 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm ET \nIn-Person Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street\, 12th Floor \n \nBeing human is hard. Meditation helps in about a million different ways\, and one big specific way: it helps us create space around our very human challenges. \nJoin teacher Jeff Warren to explore how meditation can lead to more self-acceptance and joy. \nThe simple skills gathered in meditation practice—the concentration and the clarity\, the equanimity and the care—lie at the headwaters of mental and emotional and spiritual health. Everyone can access these skills at their own pace and in their own way. As someone with both ADHD and bipolar\, Jeff is especially passionate about helping neurodivergent folks find their way into both a supportive practice and balanced view of practice. \nThrough short guided sessions and open discussion\, we’ll explore how practice can be both accessible and fun. You’ll leave feeling empowered about the creative possibilities of meditation\, and hopefully able to relate to your own mental health quirks in a more welcoming and less stigmatizing way. \nJoin us to explore the sacred mystery of the moment\, the weirdness of reality\, and the many possibilities inherent in our lived experiences. \nRegistration:\nIn-Person Registration:\nPlease register below. If you are able\, registering at the “Supporter” level enables others to attend at the “Subsidized” level. Thank you for your generosity! (Please note that the registration price includes a base level of teacher support\, and you will have the opportunity to donate more after the program.) \nIf you are registering via a mobile device such as a phone or tablet\, you can scroll right and left and up and down within the below form if it is partially obscured or cut off.\nCLICK HERE to open the registration form in a new browser window. \n \nOnline Registration:\nPlease register below.
