SUMMARY:Online: Meeting the Moment - A Buddhist and Somatic Approach
DESCRIPTION:Online: Meeting the Moment – A Buddhist and Somatic Approach \nwith Dawn Mauricio \nThursday\, October 8th\, 2026 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm ET \n \nDo you find it hard to stay present without shutting down or getting swept away? In a time of so much uncertainty and noise\, it takes real skill — and real practice — to meet the world with a clear heart. \nThis workshop is about cultivating that capacity. \nThrough guided meditation\, Dharma reflections\, somatic practices\, and discussion\, we will explore how to regulate our nervous system\, cultivate discernment\, and hold complexity with care. \nYou will learn: \n\nPractices to hold yourself gently when the world feels like too much\nWays to move from numbing and reactivity into engaged\, embodied presence\nHow to bring a loving heart and Buddhist principles into how you meet what’s difficult\n\nAll are welcome\, regardless of experience with meditation or Buddhism. \nNote: This program will be recorded. The recording will be sent to all registrants after the program\, so please feel free to sign up even if you cannot join in real time. \nOnline Registration:\nPlease register below. If you are able\, registering at the “Supporter” level enables others to attend at the “Subsidized” level. Thank you for your generosity! (Please note that the registration price includes a base level of teacher support\, and you will have the opportunity to donate more after the program.) \nIf you are registering via a mobile device such as a phone or tablet\, you can scroll right and left and up and down within the below form if it is partially obscured or cut off.\nCLICK HERE to open the registration form in a new browser window. \nBring a Buddy: If you are a member of our Circle of Friends\, you’re invited to bring a Dharma buddy to this program for no additional cost. Simply select “1” from the drop-down next to the Bring a Buddy level\, and enter your special discount code (provided in your Circle of Friends welcome email) to reduce the price to that of a single\, standard registration. This registration will grant attendance for you and your buddy. \n \nVolunteering \nAll of our programs rely on volunteers to support our teachers and staff with various tasks and responsibilities. Volunteering allows you to participate in our programs at no cost. To inquire about volunteering opportunities\, please fill out our inquiry form\, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

SUMMARY:Online: The Body's Mind - A Resource Guide to Emotional Intelligence\, Wisdom and Abundant Kindness
DESCRIPTION:Online: The Body’s Mind – A Resource Guide to Emotional Intelligence\, Wisdom and Abundant Kindness \nwith Jill Satterfield \nThursdays\, October 15th – November 5th\, 2026 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm ET \n \nThe body knows before the mind cognizes. How can we tap into that knowing before the volitional thinking mind gets involved? \nBecause many of us have grown up in cultures that privilege thinking over sensing\, and encourage pushing past discomfort rather than turning toward it\, we are rarely pointed toward the body as a source of wisdom\, let alone refuge. We learn to live above the neck\, never mining the great resources of the body we live in. \nThrough a range of practices and perspectives\, including the Buddha’s teachings on the body/mind connection\, we’ll explore how to come back into relationship with the body: not as something to fix or manage\, but as a living resource of intelligence\, emotional clarity\, and quiet strength. \nAs the body houses the heart\, it’s the home of kindness\, the seat of compassion\, and how we can feel tenderness toward ourselves and all living beings. \nDuring the course we’ll investigate: \n\nNama Rupa: the mind-body connection as two non-separable forms of conscious awareness that the Buddha spoke about\nSkillful means to access and move kind awareness throughout the body\, discovering it fully\nDeveloping agency and more choice around the habits of mind before they happen\nSensing the beginnings of anxiety\, anger\, fear\, or any type of emotional loss of control\, and mitigating it more easily\nRegulating the nervous system during meditation\, not as a separate practice\nUtilizing imagination as a guide and bridge between body and mind\n\nNote: This program will be recorded. Recordings will be sent to all registrants after each session\, so you are welcome to register even if you cannot attend one or more sessions live. \nRegistration:\nPlease register below. If you are able\, registering at the “Supporter” level enables others to attend at the “Subsidized” level. Thank you for your generosity!
