DESCRIPTION:In-Person: Generation Meditation Sangha\n \nwith Bart van Melik\n \nMonday\, February 10th\, 2025 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm\n \nLocation: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street\, 12th Floor\n \nIf you’re between the ages of 18 and 35\, join guest teacher Bart van Melik for this special Generation Meditation sangha event. Together we’ll explore how mindfulness of change can free us from clinging. There will be time for discussion\, relational practice\, meditation\, and Q&A.  \nThis community meets monthly to meditate\, discuss Buddhist teachings\, and provide mutual support in applying these practices to the specific challenges of the participants. \nDiscussion may follow inquiries about the reading\, meditation practice\, and life off-the-cushion\, viewed through dharma teachings. \nWe aspire to build a community that is authentic\, relational\, pragmatic & joyful. All are warmly welcome.There is no required level of experience or familiarity with meditation or Buddhism. Through meditation and discussion\, we’ll explore how our practice can support us—individually and collectively—amid the challenges and possibilities we face. \nWhether you are new to meditation or a long-time practitioner\, this is a space to connect\, share\, and be in community with others who understand the intersection of practice and identity.
