Online: Touching the Earth

On the night of his awakening, the Buddha touched the earth and asked for help, as if from a teacher, or spiritual friend. Indigenous teaching is based in the knowledge of our relationship and reciprocity with nature. Buddhist teacher Ajahn Chah taught that we can learn from Nature enough to be enlightened.

In this daylong program, we will touch the earth with our hearts, minds, and bodies. Please bring a nature friend with you in your heart – a place, green, legged, or flying being whom you care for.
