Sally Boon Matthews is a multi-media artist, CUNY arts educator and member of NY Insight.
She became interested in the Heart Sutra through Chan Practice retreats at Dharma Drum Retreat Center in Pine Bush, NY and Chan Meditation Center in Queens, NY. As a result of this interest, she became motivated to create sangha-based contemplative arts projects as meditative tools for exploring sutras. She is also a certified Ashtanga Yoga teacher.
