We will meditate\, meet\, and then celebrate with an optional BYO Picnic \nThe Queens gathering is the second of four outdoor\, community events to celebrate the diversity of NYIMC’s sangha throughout New York City. Join us this summer to meditate outside and to meet your NYIMC sangha across the boroughs. \nNew York Insight teacher Lani Miller\, Generation Meditation and Insight OUT Refuge LGBTQI Sangha Leader Seth Hoffman\, Queens Sangha and the Friends Leadership Council will offer an evening meditating together\, engaging in community connection and simply spending time in our city’s beautiful Astoria Park. \nBeginning at 5:00pm\, teacher Lani Miller will provide an opportunity for mediation in nature. Collaborating with Lani\, our Friends Leadership Council\, Insight OUT Refuge and GenMed Sangha leader will then offer interactive activities to engage with new and old sangha friends. When the event ends at 7:00pm\, join our optional\, BYO Picnic– bring your own meal\, something refreshing to drink or share. \nWe encourage you to bring a blanket\, chair\, or whatever you may need to support your practice in an outdoor setting. \nAll are welcome to join this event\, whether you’re a longtime community member and practitioner or brand new to meditation and New York Insight.
