Online: You Are the Path – Living a Good Life in Bad Times

with Tracy Cochran

Saturday, June 14th, 2025 | 10:00am – 1:00pm ET

Online via Zoom

Life is always hard, but these times feel especially uncertain and the stakes feel very high.

How can we live a truly good life now? What should we do and how should we do it? Fortunately, the Buddha offers us a guide rope. The Eightfold path of the Buddha braids together practices for body, heart, and mind.

Confused about how to live? The Buddha offers us a way into our own deepest wisdom. Lost in thought or full of difficult feelings? Focus on what you are doing. Following this guide rope, our own lives become a way of awakening.

Over the course of this half-day retreat, we’ll explore the whole of the path with a special emphasis on finding our own deepest insights and experiences. Together we’ll combine meditation with mindful writing exercises designed to help us find our own way. Special emphasis will be given to “beginning the path,” and our own moments of clarity and experiments in living.

With time for meditation and discussion, we’ll learn how to take root in our own wisdom and make our actual lives our path.
