In-Person and Online: Being Human Takes Practice

with Jeff Warren

Thursday, August 14th, 2025 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm ET

In-Person Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street, 12th Floor

Being human is hard. Meditation helps in about a million different ways, and one big specific way: it helps us create space around our very human challenges.

Join teacher Jeff Warren to explore how meditation can lead to more self-acceptance and joy.

The simple skills gathered in meditation practice—the concentration and the clarity, the equanimity and the care—lie at the headwaters of mental and emotional and spiritual health. Everyone can access these skills at their own pace and in their own way. As someone with both ADHD and bipolar, Jeff is especially passionate about helping neurodivergent folks find their way into both a supportive practice and balanced view of practice.

Through short guided sessions and open discussion, we’ll explore how practice can be both accessible and fun. You’ll leave feeling empowered about the creative possibilities of meditation, and hopefully able to relate to your own mental health quirks in a more welcoming and less stigmatizing way.

Join us to explore the sacred mystery of the moment, the weirdness of reality, and the many possibilities inherent in our lived experiences.

Jeff Warren

Jeff Warren is a meditation instructor and writer, known for his irreverent and sometimes bafflingly incomprehensible style of teaching. He is the co-author of The New York Times best-selling Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics, founder of the nonprofit Consciousness Explorers Club, and co-host of the Mind Bod Adventure Pod. Jeff’s Do Nothing Project streams for free every Sunday night on YouTube; his guided meditations reach millions of people through the Ten Percent Happier and Calm apps, as well as through his Substack, Home Base.

Jeff’s mission is to empower people to care for their mental health, through the realistic and sometimes giddy exploration of meditation and personal growth practices. He is proudly ADHD and bipolar and champions a neurodivergent outlook on life and practice.
