In-Person and Online: Community Open Sit
NEW DATE: Sunday, December 28th, 2025 | 10:00am – 1:00pm ET
In-Person Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street, 12th Floor
Out of care for everyone’s safety during the snowstorm, Saturday’s Open Community Sit will be rescheduled. While the program is offered in a hybrid format, we’d prefer to gather together as one community. The sit will be rescheduled for Sunday, December 28th, 2025 at the same time. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to sitting together soon.
Overwhelmed by holiday-related anxiety? Looking for a space to rest and check in with how you’re feeling?
On Sunday, December 28, New York Insight is offering a meditation space for anyone who seeks a space to ground over Thanksgiving weekend. Allow yourself some space and embrace the stillness before returning to work and launching into the final days of the year.
This is simply a morning to practice being grounded. Participants are encouraged to leave their phones at the door and maintain the Buddhist practice of Noble Silence. There will be no dharma talk—just a space to quietly sit.
You are free to come and go as you please between 10:00am – 1:00pm. There will be tea and light refreshments available.
Your generosity, or what we call dana, is what makes this morning of tranquility possible. Please give what you can. We are honored to offer a temple of reflection and quiet this holiday season and always.
Suggested dana – $15
