Online: Transforming Self-Judgment with Lovingkindness
with Dalya Tamir
Saturday, February 7th, 2026 | 10:00am – 1:00pm ET
Many of us are familiar with the voice of the inner critic, also called our inner judge. This is a harsh voice in the mind that scolds us, corrects us, and keeps us in check. It might feel like there is someone watching over our shoulders, pointing out our wrongdoings, or telling us how to think or behave.
In reality, this judgmental voice is no more than a collection of thoughts in the mind. But when it is not seen and understood, the inner critic holds the power to pull us down into feelings of guilt, shame, and unworthiness.
In this half-day retreat we will turn our attention toward our patterns of self-judgment. We will explore both its fleeting and impermanent nature and the power it has over our lives. With the help of Buddhist teacher Dalya Tamir, you’ll start to notice the messages you receive and internalize from society and those around you—and the ways you hold on to these messages.
Through lovingkindness practices we will cultivate the antidotes to the harsh voice of our inner judge and make room for a more compassionate, wiser self. Freeing ourselves, even temporarily, from our harsh inner voice allows for a natural emergence of spaciousness and acceptance of ourselves and others.
This retreat will include silent guided meditations, short dharma talks, sharing in breakout rooms and in the large circle.
Come join us for this online half-day retreat to learn how to love, accept, and trust yourself.
