Faith & Joy: Resting into the dharma with Beth Adelson
As our practice develops we gradually come to trust the dharma. We see it has the power to hold us, whatever is happening. But developing this trust, letting the mountain hold us, letting go of the mountain, we come to see us through practices which steady our mind & open hearts. In this sit we will look at this process, seeing how it feels.
Every Thursday afternoon, New York Insight offers a meditation space for anyone who seeks a space to ground. Allow yourself some space and embrace the stillness during your lunch break. The schedule for April is as follows:
- May 7: Tracy Cochran
- May 14: Beth Adelson
- May 21: Rebecca Li
- May 28: Lavina Shamdasani
Everyone is welcome. This is simply a time to practice being grounded. Participants are encouraged to leave their phones at the door and maintain the Buddhist practice of Noble Silence.
There will be tea and light refreshments available between 2:00-2:30 PM.
Your generosity, or what we call dana, is what makes this afternoon of tranquility possible. Please give what you can. We are honored to offer a temple of reflection and quiet this winter season and always.
Suggested dana – $15
