In-Person: Creative Movement and Meditation – A Daytime Workshop
with Cynthia Berkshire
Thursday, July 23rd, 2026 | 4:00pm – 6:00pm ET
Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street, 12th Floor
Through simple and playful exercises, we will research the body and imagination in a creative movement workshop exploring forgiveness. Beginning with a short meditation, the session includes a group warmup, improvisation with a partner and learned movement. Open to all bodies, the workshop is an opportunity to explore movement on one’s own and with others, while connecting to the inner realm. Please wear loose clothing for your comfort.
The workshop, first taught in India in 2017 and recently at Tibet House, was founded on a previous program led at the Institute of Contemporary Art, PA. It evolved from the performance project VEIL: Two Sisters, by Cynthia Berkshire.
Limited scholarships are gratefully available through a grant provided by CitizensNYC. Please email [email protected]. Workshop participants may have the opportunity to be part of a performance of VEIL, joining other organizations in the project’s ending ritual movement.
