In-Person and Online: Coming Home to the Body – A Daylong Meditation Retreat

with Chas DiCapua

Saturday, May 9th, 2026 | 10:00am – 5:00pm ET

In-Person Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street, 12th Floor

We spend much of our lives with attention directed outward, seeking fulfillment through distraction, consumption, and busyness. The Buddha described the gap between what we are experiencing and where our attention is as stress.

This daylong retreat offers an alternative. Through sitting and walking meditation, the Resident Teacher at the Insight Meditation Society, Chas DiCapua will guide participants in body-based awareness practices, including awareness of the breath, that bring attention back to the present moment. When the mind settles into the body rather than chasing after the next thing, we can begin to access qualities already present in us: sympathetic presence, expansiveness, and ease.

This retreat is suitable for practitioners at all levels who want to deepen their relationship to the body as a foundation for meditation practice and daily life.
