And Now What? How to Bring Your Practice into Life

This four week course will provide experiential and practice experience for both new and old students of the Dhamma. The course will focus on how practice on the cushion and in daily life work together to make our engagement with the Dhamma a truly lived practice. The course will offer ways to sustain and encourage a daily sitting practice, as well as using awareness moment by moment, in our lives off the cushion.
We will look at setting intentions, opening to the practice of Dana and Metta, practicing the Precepts for heart gladdening and opening, chanting, taking the Three Refuges, practicing with the Four Postures, using the breath as our bridge and guide from sitting to daily life practice. Emphasis will be placed on sangha and spiritual friendship.
The course will allow ample time for sharing, questions and learning from each other.
Registration fee includes teacher support.

Nancy Glimm has been practicing vipassana meditation since 1996. She has been a part of New York Insight Meditation Center since its inception. Nancy is a 2012 graduate of the Spirit Rock Community Dharma Leaders training program. Her primary teacher is Gloria Taraniya Ambrosia. Nancy leads the Living Urban Dharma Monday Daytime Sit. She is a psychotherapist in private practice with over 35 years of experience. Her psychotherapy practice is informed by her spiritual practice.
