And Now What: How to Bring Your Practice into Life

with Bart van Melik

Thursdays, October 18- November 8th, 2018 | 7:00pm – 9:00pm

This course has been cancelled, and will be offered in the near future.

How do we bring practice into our everyday life in order to deepen our awareness, moment to moment, and cultivate a more integrated daily relationship with the Dharma? And Now What is a four-week course intended for those who have completed an introductory course in Insight or Mindfulness meditation, or equivalent, and is suitable for more experienced practitioners who wish to spend some time focusing on and deepening their practice. We will look at how practice “on the cushion” and in our daily life both work together to make our spiritual journey a lived experience.

Participants will practice listening deeply and developing trust in their own natural awareness. This includes learning about aspects of the Buddha’s teachings that can be used to support their practice. An important area of exploration will be on how clinging can be released so we can deepen our awareness and increase harmony and wisdom in our lives and our practice.

There will be ample time for sharing, discussion and interaction in each class.

This class meets 10/18, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8.

The registration fee includes teacher support. If you wish to give more in addition to the registration fee, the total (registration fees and additional contributions) will be shared between NYI and the teacher(s).
