Generation Meditation: Young Adults Group

2nd and 4th Sunday of the month | 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Due to the rising concern about the COVID-19 pandemic, NYI is transitioning into online programming. Effective Monday, March 16th and continuing for at least several weeks, NYI will no longer hold in-person public programs, sanghas and community meetings. The major reason for our closing is of course the health and safety of our teachers and community of yogis, as well as to support the larger efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. We hold our mission to provide refuge for our sangha dearly, especially during these challenging times when connection to one another is all the more important.

Please check our website calendar for further updates regarding this sangha and other programs. Info about online access will be listed under the description below.

This community meets on Sunday evenings to meditate, discuss Buddhist teachings, and provide mutual support in applying these practices to the specific challenges of early adulthood. The gathering is participatory and casual. Possible discussion topics include career, relationships, money, and dealing with difficulties.

“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” –Swami Satchidananda

We aspire to build a community that is authentic, relational, pragmatic & joyful. All are warmly welcome.

There is no required level of experience or familiarity with meditation or Buddhism. Meditation instruction is given. The age range to attend this sangha is 15-35.
