Every Wednesday from 7:30pm-8:45pm
Due to the rising concern about the COVID-19 pandemic, NYI is transitioning into online programming. Effective Monday, March 16th and continuing for the foreseeable future, NYI will no longer hold in-person public programs, sanghas and community meetings. The major reason for our closing is of course the health and safety of our teachers and community of yogis, as well as to support the larger efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. We hold our mission to provide refuge for our sangha dearly, especially during these challenging times when connection to one another is all the more important.
The 1st and 3rd (and sometimes 5th) Wednesday of each month, one of a team of teachers and practice leaders will offer in Harlem a period of guided meditation, a talk about what the Buddha taught, and a discussion. The alternate weeks — the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month — will include a 30-minute meditation and a period of sharing. No experience is necessary.
