Online: Staying Informed, Staying Embodied – A Buddhist and Somatic Approach
with Dawn Mauricio
Thursday, September 25th, 2025 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm ET
Online via Zoom
Do you struggle to stay informed without feeling overwhelmed? In an era of nonstop headlines and heightened emotions, it is difficult to consume the news without falling into despair, anxiety, or hopelessness. But it is totally possible to meet the events of the world with a clear heart and mind.
Rather than shutting down or becoming consumed by stress, we can cultivate the capacity to meet the news with resilience and presence.
Through guided meditation, Dharma reflections, somatic practices, and discussion, we will explore how to regulate our nervous system, cultivate discernment, and hold complexity with care.
You will learn:
- Practices to hold yourself gently when the world feels like too much
- Ways to stop dissociating and start engaging
- How to incorporate a loving heart and Buddhist principles into your news consumption
Anyone is welcome to join, regardless of your experience with meditation or Buddhism.
