How can we accept more fully the pleasure and pain, fear and ease, sadness and joy that life brings us? One possible answer is to take refuge in the power of wakefulness, in the Buddha’s teachings and in the community dedicated to harmony and awareness. This is traditionally known as taking refuge in the Three Gems: the Buddha, the dharma and the sangha.

In this daylong we’ll investigate how taking refuge can support us on this path of wisdom and love. Everyone is welcome on this daylong retreat which will be spend mostly in silence. It will include sitting, walking, and inspirational readings for contemplation. It is suggested that participants bring their lunch to maintain the meditative atmosphere and concentration.
