In-Person: Reflection – A Dance Performance Benefiting the New York Insight Meditation Center
featuring Marijke Eliasberg and The Next Stage Project
Friday, October 17th, 2025 | Performances at 7:00pm and 8:30pm ET
Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street, 12th Floor
Join us for the first ever dance performance taking place at New York Insight Meditation Center. Dancers will be sharing a both meditative and energetic movement creation inspired by the calmness and aliveness of our space.
All proceeds benefit the New York Insight Meditation Center.
Choreographer Marijke Eliasberg will, in collaboration with her dance troupe The Next Stage Project (TNSP), create a performance inspired by the poem “Reflections in Time” by Robert Longley. Our world has beauty and mystery at the same time. You can choose to just see it the way you want to, or you can look deeper.
——
Reflections in time
By Robert Longley
Above there is reflection
Colorful and bright
Dancing in the sunlight
Shimmering at night
Just below the surface
Another world awaits
Holding onto mysteries
Until some future date
Our view will let us marvel
That these two coexist
And think on our experiences
And those we might have missed
The world is full of beauty
And also some surprise
Perhaps it is the future
Reflecting in our eyes

The Next Stage Project:
Founded in 2002 by Artistic Directors Marijke Eliasberg and Jana Hicks, The Next Stage Project (TNSP) is known for an organic movement style, full body movement and small obscure interactions, portrayed by talented and expressive dancers. By forming partnerships between selected artists from around the globe and seeking creative venues to perform our works, TNSP aims to give dancers, choreographers and artists an opportunity to connect and share their art and passion. The TNSP directors are offering Dance, Tai Chi Chuan, Yoga and Yoga4Cancer classes to the community. Company dancers are selected for their commitment, passion, talent and genuine interest in collaborating with the Artistic Directors.
