In-Person and Online: Dharma Rhythms Summer Music Festival – Flicker & Decay
featuring clarinetist Jeremiah Cymerman, with a meditation led by Anjie Cho
Saturday, July 18th, 2026 | 6:30pm – 8:30pm ET
In-Person Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street, 12th Floor
Composer and clarinetist Jeremiah Cymerman will present the first iteration of a meditative new work for solo bass clarinet and electronics, built upon a language of acoustic multiphonics and electronic resonant tones.
Inspired by the compositions and deep listening practice of Pauline Oliveros, the performance explores subtle shifts in texture, resonance, and sustained harmonic interplay through the use of analog resonators and immersive electronic processing. The result is an intimate sonic environment that invites focused listening and contemplative attention.
This musical gathering, part of New York Insight’s Dharma Rhythms Summer Music Festival, will begin with a guided meditation led by dharma arts and meditation teacher Anjie Cho.
