Online: Dispelling Delusion

with Ayya Soma

Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 | 7:00pm – 9:00pm ET

Buddhist monk Ayya Soma will give an online talk about the ways we can ensure our practice of the Dhamma is geared towards undoing ignorance. With a compassionate heart and a stable mind, we can pierce the delusions that hinder true happiness. After a guided meditation and Dhamma talk, we will leave space for Q&A and discussion.

This evening is co-presented by Buddhist Insights.

All are invited to Empty Cloud Monastery to practice safely outdoors during public events, and to follow online during the almost-daily meditations, talks, and sutta study. Empty Cloud, located in West Orange, New Jersey, is operated entirely on dana/donations by Buddhist Insights. Please visit www.buddhistinsights.com for more information.

Ayya Soma

Ayya Soma is an Italian Buddhist monk and co-abbot of Empty Cloud Monastery in New Jersey. As the co-founder of Buddhist Insights, a non-profit organization connecting people with monastics, she has learned the Dharma through the perspective of monks of all different traditions, and incorporates aspects from all of them in her own practice. Her spiritual path is inspired by the social engagement of her preceptor, Venerable Paññāvati Bhikkhuni; by the knowledge and wisdom of Ven. Robina Courtin; and by the compassion of Khenmo Drolma.
