Please join us for a special live event with Tara Brach and Leslie Booker!

In a world gripped by fear and reactivity, what helps us turn toward love? In this workshop, we’ll explore the teachings and practices of the bodhisattva path—wisdom that awakens our sense of belonging and deepens our capacity for healing compassion.

Our time together will include talks, guided reflections, relational practices, and space for questions and sharing.

Tara Brach

Tara Brach is a meditation teacher, psychologist and author of international bestselling Radical Acceptance, Radical Compassion, True Refuge and Trusting the Gold. Her popular weekly podcast on emotional healing, spiritual awakening and compassion-based activism is downloaded 2.5 million times a month.

Tara is founder of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington and has been active in bringing meditation into schools, prisons and underserved populations. Along with Jack Kornfield, she leads the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP), serving diverse participants from 75 countries around the world. Tara’s teachings blend Western psychology and Eastern spiritual practices, mindful attention to our inner life, and a dedication to creating a more just, equitable and loving world.

Leslie Booker

Booker is a heart – centered, spirit – driven activist and meditation teacher committed to creating a culture of belonging through her teaching and writing. She completed Spirit Rock’s 4 year Retreat Teacher Training in 2020, and shared the practices of yoga and mindfulness with New York City’s most vulnerable populations for over a decade. Booker has co – authored and contributed to several publications including the trauma – informed anthology Practicing Liberation and its accompanying workbook, for folks working towards social justice. She is a co-founder of the Yoga Service Council at Omega Institute and the Meditation Working Group of Occupy Wall Street. In 2020 she was invited to be a Sojourner Truth Leadership Fellow through Auburn Seminary and was voted by her peers as one of the 12 Powerful Women in the Mindfulness Movement.

Booker moved to Philadelphia in August of 2020 to vote in a swing state, and currently serves as the Guiding Teacher of New York Insight.
