Online: Surprised by Joy

Buddhist teacher Bhante Suddhaso will give an online talk about the joy that comes through cultivating faith in Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha and how that joy serves as a basis for deepening Samadhi and Vipassana.

As we progress along the Buddhist path, a sense of serene happiness begins to pervade our life. After guided meditation and a Dhamma talk, we will leave space for Q&A.

This evening is co-presented by Buddhist Insights Meditation.

When it’s safe to return to in-person gatherings ALL are welcome to experience meditation & Dharma retreats, workshops and courses at Empty Cloud which will be offered by monastic guest teachers of various Buddhist traditions from around the world. Currently, Bhante Suddhaso and Ayya Soma (whose preceptor is Ven Pannavati) Livestreams guided meditation and Dharma talks almost daily. Empty Cloud, located in West Orange, New Jersey, is operated entirely on Dana by Buddhist Insights.

Bhante SuddhasoBhante Suddhaso, the co-founder and guiding teacher of Buddhist Insights and co-director of Empty Cloud Monastery & Retreat Center, is dedicated to bringing the Dharma to people of any race, religion, spirituality, gender, and life experience. Bhante, an American monk who studied under Ajahns Pasanno, Amaro and Viradhammo, Bhante Gunaratana, and Revs Myo Denis Lahey and Ryushin Paul Haller, was ordained in the Theravada Buddhism after initially training in the Soto Zen tradition.
