Online: Surprised by Joy

Buddhist teacher Bhante Suddhaso will give an online talk about the joy that comes through cultivating faith in Buddha, Dhamma, Sangha and how that joy serves as a basis for deepening Samadhi and Vipassana.
As we progress along the Buddhist path, a sense of serene happiness begins to pervade our life. After guided meditation and a Dhamma talk, we will leave space for Q&A.
This evening is co-presented by Buddhist Insights Meditation.
When it’s safe to return to in-person gatherings ALL are welcome to experience meditation & Dharma retreats, workshops and courses at Empty Cloud which will be offered by monastic guest teachers of various Buddhist traditions from around the world. Currently, Bhante Suddhaso and Ayya Soma (whose preceptor is Ven Pannavati) Livestreams guided meditation and Dharma talks almost daily. Bhante Suddhāso is a Buddhist monk and co-founder of Buddhist Insights, a non-profit organization created to help connect laypeople with Buddhist monastics. His work aims to convey Buddhist concepts and their practical applicability to everyday life. Bhante Suddhāso practices both Theravāda and Mahāyāna Buddhism, with a particular emphasis on the early Buddhist teachings found in the Pāli Canon and the methods of practice used in Chan/Zen. In 2019, together with Ayyā Somā, he co-founded Empty Cloud Monastery in New Jersey, where he currently resides as co-abbot.
