Online: Purifying the Mind – An Explanation of the Sabbāsava Sutta

with Ayyā Somā

Sunday, August 15th, 2021 | 9:00am – 11:00am ET

One of the most remarkable aspects of the Buddha’s teachings is their flexibility: the Buddha offered countless ways of responding appropriately to any circumstance.

This is exemplified by the Sabbāsava Sutta (MN2), in which the Buddha speaks about seven different situations where the mind can fall into defilement, and seven different ways of purifying the mind acccordingly.

Buddhist monk Ayyā Somā explains each of these seven strategies and how to apply them to both our meditation and our daily experience.

This event is co-presented with Buddhist Insights.
