In-Person: Qigong for Emotional Alchemy – A Half-Day Workshop

with Chia-Ti Chiu

Saturday, August 8th, 2026 | 10:00am – 1:00pm ET

Location: New York Insight at 115 West 29th Street, 12th Floor

Qigong is a gentle movement practice that has been practiced for millenia. It’s been shown to reduce stress and improve energy, but people have also reported that it can help them with processing emotions as well.

Qigong helps us not only become more aware of how we feel, but gives us the ability to move through our emotions with more flow. Qigong as an embodied practice allows the body to “speak” when the mind wants to shut down or react.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, our emotions affect the organs, immune system, and the autonomic functions of the body. Our health suffers or flourishes depending on how we digest our emotional experience of life. During this half-day workshop, we’ll explore how qigong supports us to process, integrate, and release held emotions and accumulated tension.

In addition to qigong, we’ll practice meditation, active listening, and journaling to further understand how to alchemize our emotional distress into more ease.
