In-Person: Sacred Earth Sangha in Greenwood Cemetery
September 11, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Inperson: Sacred Earth Sangha in Greenwood Cemetery (Brooklyn)
with Lin Wang Gordon and Jon Aaron
Saturday, September 11th, 2021 | 2:00pm–5:00pm
Since its beginning, every session of SES has begun with three honorings: honoring native land, honoring Asian lineages, and honoring ancestors. For the past few months, we have been exploring these three honorings as foundations for sacred earth awakening. In April, we explored honoring the Asian lineages of our practice. In May, we gathered in Central Park to explore honoring Native Land.
What does it mean to honor ancestors? Join us in September as we cultivate relationships with our personal genealogical ancestors as well as practice reflections and meditations that touch the truth of the whole of nature as “all my relations.”
We look forward to exploring our inner and outer world together with you in nature.

Lin has dedicated over a decade to studying insight meditation under the guidance of Jonathan Foust, Mark Coleman, and Sebene Selassie. Since 2020, she has also been learning about the Dzogchen tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Lin was particularly moved by the power of nature meditation to connect with a deep sense of well-being, love, wonder, resilience, and interconnection with all beings.
Graduating from Mark Coleman’s Awake in the Wild Nature Meditation Teacher Training in 2017, Lin was motivated to share nature meditation and ecodharma as pathways for personal transformation and environmental activism. Since 2018, she has been learning to lead ecodharma retreats under David Loy and Johann Robbins. She has taught at the New York Insight Meditation Center and around the country. She is enrolled in the Spirit Rock Community Dharma Leaders Program (CDL7). linwanggordon.com
