A Day of Mindfulness Meditation: In Touch with Wise View
with Rosemary Blake and Bart van Melik
Sunday, December 1st, 2019 | 10:00am – 5:00pm
According to the Buddha, the mind is forerunner of all experience. It is the lens through which we see life and colors our day-to-day experience.
Join New York Insight teachers Bart van Melik and Rosemary Blake for a daylong retreat investigating the Buddhist teachings on working with the mind. We will explore how these teachings can help us live life in harmony, with all its joys and sorrows.
This retreat day will include sitting, walking, and short teacher-led talks and guided contemplations. Individual interviews with the teachers will be available. It is suggested that participants bring their lunch and practice mindful eating to maintain the meditative atmosphere and concentration as well as to look quietly at how we can bring meditation into many of our daily acts such as eating, commuting, doing the dishes and so on. Meditation practitioners of all levels are welcome.
