How do we navigate the world we are living in with its many hardships and gifts to realize a greater sense of meaning, engagement and connection?

This is the work of our meditation practice – to cultivate awareness in all areas of our life, not just when we are sitting silently with our eyes closed. And when we develop the transformative qualities of wisdom and compassion, life becomes more meaningful.

Inspired by the teachings of Theravādin Buddhist monk, Sayadaw U Tejaniya, during this daylong retreat we will explore the practice of meditation as a foundation for developing the heart and mind. Together we’ll practice cultivating moment by moment awareness, in a relaxed and natural way–leading us to an embodied sense of clarity, resilience and connection.

During our time together there will be guided meditations, periods of silence, and opportunities to move the body. There will also be time for discussion and Q&A.

This retreat is suitable for both new and experienced practitioners.
