Having experienced some of the initial benefits of mindfulness, is it now possible to awaken to the deep sense of well-being, creativity, and unconditional love that is our true nature? In this online retreat, you will learn simple practices of effortless mindfulness that help you live from your heart-mind.

The main approach of effortless mindfulness is small glimpses, many times of the day. It is done with shifts of awareness and nondual pointers that help us move out of our chattering mind and small self and into our already awake heart-mind, know as bodhichitta. From heart-mind, we discover that suffering and confusion begin to liberate and all experiences and emotions are welcome. This leads to natural wisdom and compassion as our primary motivation for life.
Effortless Mindfulness comes from the Sutra Mahamudra tradition, which began in North India and links the three main traditions of Buddhism: Theravada, Mahayana, and Tibetan. Sutra Mahamudra was primarily a movement of lay practitioners who developed a style of practice to support each other’s awakening in the midst of everyday life. Effortless mindfulness is ideal for our contemporary times because it is practiced with eyes open in short micro-meditations. Effortless mindfulness is an advanced, yet simple next step after learning basic mindfulness that makes living an awakened life possible for all of us.

It is suggested to read Loch’s new book The Way of Effortless Mindfulness: A Revolutionary Guide for Living an Awakened Life, found here.
