Online: Meditation as an Act of Healing – Working with Fear and Anxiety

These are challenging times. Learning to work with fear and anxiety is an important practice for anyone trying to maintain balance in their lives. Meditation can be an act of healing that allows us to reconnect to our humanity. Each time we put down the doomscrolling and return to the present, we reclaim our sanity.

The regularity of daily practice helps build resilience and emotional balance.  When we have stability, we can recognize the anxiety-based behaviors that actually increase insecurity and isolation. Then, by returning to the present we can choose to turn from punishing defensive behaviors toward healing and reconnection.

We can turn back to our humanity.

Join Senior Meditation Teacher Joseph Mauricio for an evening of instruction, discussion, and inspiration. We will discuss the 4 R’s of mindful awareness: Recognition, Release, Return and Relax.

This event is open to anyone with any level of meditation experience. The only requirement is a willingness to be human.
