Online: The Many Faces of a Buddhist Text

with Bradley Donaldson

Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 | 7:00pm – 9:00pm ET

We can approach the Buddhist discourses (or suttas/sutras) from a variety of perspectives, which allows us to not only enjoy the teachings in a literary sense, but also apply them to our personal concerns—even across boundaries of time and space.

Join Bradley Donaldson (former monastic Bhante Sumano) as he discusses a framework for understanding these spiritual texts—an approach employed by Australian Buddhist monk Bhante Sujato—and together examine a short, accesible discourse in-session.

To prepare for the workshop, please read the Discourse on the Simile of the Mountain, which you can find here: https://suttacentral.net/sn3.25/en/sujato
