Online: Transforming Turmoil – Making Peace with Difficult People

with Kimberly Brown

Saturday, October 28th, 2023 | 10:00am – 1:30pm ET

You’re not alone if you struggle with hurt, anger, or resentment as a result of the behavior of others, but you don’t have to wait until a reconciliation or an apology from someone else before making peace with yourself.

In this special event, we’ll explore the nature of difficult relationships, learn to meet our internal experiences without shame, blame, or judgement, and recognize any underlying fears or beliefs that hinder us from finding ease and openness. We’ll practice mindfulness and lovingkindness meditation to cultivate kindness to our struggles, and develop tools to work through the painful
barriers that prevent us from feeling at ease. We’ll also discuss the role of forgiveness and the intention to let go, and cultivate the power of self-compassion to heal our hearts and settle our minds.

In this program you’ll learn to:
* Explore painful experiences with patience and wisdom
* Meet difficult emotions with kindness
* Discover and learn to rely upon your constructive emotional resources
* Recognize how your struggles may be preventing you from feeling at ease
* Let go of the wish that other people should or will behave differently, better, or with more
insight
* Develop self-compassion and appreciation for your beautiful qualities and strengths

All are welcome at this half-day workshop, and no experience with meditation is necessary.
